It’s impossible to resist Oreos. This chocolaty cookie is delicious on its own or when dunked in milk, but Oreos can elevate other desserts, too. From no-bake Oreo cheesecake and cookies ‘n’ cream fudge to this 3-ingredient Oreo cake, there are so many right ways to eat an Oreo.
This recipe, inspired by @fitwaffle, is made in the microwave. Follow the guide below to try it!
How to Make TikTok Oreo Cake
You only need Oreo cookies, baking powder and milk to make this Oreo cake. Even better? You don’t need to turn on the oven to pull it off. The cake is microwaved for just a few minutes, so it’s a fast and easy dessert. If you’re feeling ambitious, make a quick chocolate ganache to pour over top. The chocolate ganache, along with crushed Oreos, will make your cake look pretty impressive!
Ingredients
28 Oreo cookies
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup milk
Editor’s Tip: This recipe works with off-brand Oreos, too.
Directions
Step 1: Crush the Oreos
Put the cookies in a mini food processor. (Linda Cheung, our recipe tester, used this KitchenAid cordless food processor.) Pulse until you have crumbs. You can also put the Oreos in an airtight bag, then use a rolling pin to crush the cookies into fine crumbs.
Transfer the cookie crumbs to a mixing bowl.
Step 2: Mix the cake batter
Mix the baking powder and milk into the cookie crumbs. Stir the mixture until smooth.
Step 3: “Bake” the cake
Grease a microwaveable silicone cake mold with oil or cooking spray. Cut out a round piece of parchment paper and place it in the bottom of the mold. Pour the batter into the mold and microwave the cake for six minutes, in 60-second intervals.
