Vegan Pecan Pie Brownies

For the Brownie Layer:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a square baking pan.
Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
Combine Wet Ingredients:
In another bowl, mix together sugar, melted coconut oil, applesauce, and vanilla extract.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:

Bake Again:
Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the pecan topping is set.
Cool and Slice:
Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
