Ingredients
- 2 cups chopped celery
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 5 cups crumbled buttermilk cornbread (dry)
- 5 cups dry bread crumbs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
- 3 teaspoons sage or to taste
- 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
- 1 teaspoon pepper or to taste
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 stick butter
- 4 large eggs, beaten
- 6 cups turkey or chicken broth

Step 1Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Step 2Spray a large baking pan with Pam.

Step 3In a large mixing bowl, combine the crumbled cornbread, bread crumbs, chopped celery, chopped onions, and seasoning. Mix together.

Step 4Add melted butter, melted margarine, and beaten eggs. Mix well.

Step 5Add chicken/turkey broth. The dressing should be pretty soupy to start so that it doesn’t get too dry while cooking. You may need to add more broth.

Step 6Transfer to the prepared baking pan.

Step 7Bake, covered, for 35 minutes and uncovered for 10 minutes until browned or until well set and cooked through.
