– 1 ¼ cups (300ml) milk
– 1 egg
– 3 tablespoons melted butter or vegetable oil
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional for flavor)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the dry ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, sugar (if using), and salt. Stir until evenly combined.
