Preparation
- Cook Pasta: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Brown Meat: Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Brown sausage and ground beef, breaking up the pieces.
- Sauté Veggies: Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
- Build the Sauce: Stir in tomato paste, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, and cayenne. Mix well.
- Simmer: Deglaze with water and crushed tomatoes. Bring to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes, allowing flavors to deepen.
- Finish & Serve: Taste for seasoning, then toss cooked spaghetti into the sauce along with Parmesan cheese. Mix well and enjoy!
