For the Shortbread Layer
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar, tightly packed
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
For the Cheesecake Layer
- 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
For the Pecan Pie Layer
- 1 cup light brown sugar, tightly packed
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup melted butter, slightly cooled
- 3 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup pecans
Preparation
Step 1: Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking tray.
Step 2: Prepare the Shortbread Layer
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour and 3/4 cup brown sugar.
- Using a pastry cutter or fork, cut in the softened butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in 1/2 cup chopped pecans.
- Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking tray.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let it cool slightly for about 10–15 minutes.
